When Reiss came to us with a vision of what they wanted from their new ecommerce site, we were happy to share that vision with them. Being tasked with designing a website that lived up to Reiss’ design ethos was a challenge we relished. Our designers were faced with the task of building a site that could communicate the Reiss aesthetic and we think we hit the mark, see for your self at www.reiss.co.uk

Pod1 has been short-listed three times in the ‘Young Designer Award" category at the Y Design Awards 2007 with Uniqlo, Matches Fashion and Links of London.

The Y Design Awards was launched last year, as part of the London Design Festival, the UK’s largest celebration of design, to recognise and reward the UK’s leading creative talent demonstrated through the use of digital technology.

Pod1 was short listed no less than three times in the ‘Young Designer Award” category at the Y Design Awards 2007 in London this week. The nominations were received for our work on ecommerce sites for Japanese  casual wear retailer Uniqlo, designer online boutique Matches Fashion and Links of London’s online jewellery store.

The Y Design Awards were launched last year as part of the London Design Festival and are the UK’s largest celebration of design. The aim of the event is to recognize and reward the UK’s leading creative talent demonstrated through the use of digital technology.

The ceremony took place on Wednesday 19th September at the newly refurbished Royal Festival Hall.

Pod1 has been shortlisted three times in the ‘Young Designer Award’ category at the Y Design Awards 2007, with Uniqlo, Matches Fashion and Links of London. Congratulation to all the teams involved in these projects.

As anyone who works in web design and build will tell you a web site is never truly finished, and Pod1’s own site is no exception. The process is one of constant evolution with a number of small incremental changes along the way.

Even though the current website was only launched in May the site has just undergone a number of styling tweaks with the aim of making the site even easier to use. The most obvious changes are the new page headers but two new sections have been added that weren’t available at launch. First up is the scrapbook which show cases creative pitch work that otherwise would never have been seen and our very own blog section which aims to give readers a more informal view of life here at Pod1.

Pod1 will be responsible for completely re-branding the Travel Intelligence website as well as optimising the site for the major search engines to enhance online visibility. The aim is to update Travel Intelligence’s overall image and the availability of the information on the site through an upgrade of the information architecture.

The Travel Intelligence site collates articles from a large collection of professional travel writers, providing people with a selection of articles on destinations from across the world. In addition to the large amount of information on different locations, they also provide the facility to book accommodation on line. After all who better than travel writers to know where the best places are to stay?

Pod1’s contemporary art gallery is now open! If you want to exhibit your work in Westbourne Studios, please send us some pictures of your creation along with a short rationale. The selected artists will have the opportunity to show their art in our gallery for one month.
