Pod1 New York /// Halloween Party

Pod1 celebrated it’s first Halloween in New York with a massive office party, taking full advantage of our excellent location over-looking the Parade. Special guests included David Regan, from Links of London, Tanya Gustafson from Interbrand Wood and Peter Lord from the oLo Group. Big thanks to Kelly for the tunes, Alex for the buffet and Christine and Paula for organizing everything.

Watch out for the new Links of London collection

Pod1 has just launched the Watches Collection for Links of London. This new selection of watches needed a backing that would highlight the unique design of each watch. The site needed to be just as beautiful and luxurious as the products displayed on it. The designers were challenged to design a site that reflected all the best design aesthetics, which are reflected in the watches themselves. See watch (get it?) you think here

kMix launch for Kenwood is a recipe for success

This week we have launched our very latest creation for Kenwood, to support the release of their new kMix range of kitchen appliances! The brief was to Provide a sophisticated online platform for the range to showcase the slick design of the products in a simple but stylish way.
The kMix site was designed to convey both the elegance of the design and the durability that has come to be associated with the Kenwood brand. Each of the products is associated with a different quality, Style, Design, Iconic & Harmony, while the images are fully animated in 3D to show each one off in full detail.

As an added incentive each appliance also comes with its very own recipe recommendation for inspiration.

Kenwood has a well deserved reputation for creating quality kitchen appliances to suit every household and every kitchen need since 1947. This new range continues this tradition and enjoys the benefits of 60 years experience partnered with the most cutting edge design principles.

Coast beats Sainsbury’s, River Island & Virgin to top position

In the latest edition of Retail Week’s Mystery Shop, a selection of e-commerce stores were assessed for all aspects of the online shopping experience with the Pod1 designed Coast website walking away with a perfect score.

The write up of the researchers experience with the site was extremely positive. This was made all the more impressive as the other sites included some of the biggest brands in the country, such as Tesco, Curries, Boots and HMV.

The website came in for particular praise with the reviewer writing “this is an inspiring web site for the online shopper.”

Another special mention was for the appearance of the site and its benefit to the company which was included in the Final Verdict, with the reviewer writing “In most cases, with the exception of Coast, there is scope to improve presentation and lift the shoppers’ impression of the brand.”

A mechanical ballet for Kenwood

The new kMix Flash site has been developed by Pod1 to support the launch of Kenwood’s new range of products. The vision was to present the kMix products with a new perspective, to engage the user with a playful interface and to offer a sleek experience with smooth choreographic transitions, between the 3D sequences used to present each products of the range. We wanted this site to be a real immersive brand experience…

Thanks to the the team for their efforts and to Chris Christou from Youmeus Design for the CGI animations. Youmeus Design are the Industrial Designers who created some of the kMix products for Kenwood.
