Paramount Hotels Rebrand

Pod1 client Paramount Hotels is now part the Barcelo Hotels & Resorts group. Barcelo is to lease and manage Paramount’s 20 four star properties around the UK under the Barcelo banner.

This has inevitably led to the need for a full re-brand of Paramount’s current website, this is currently being undertaken by Pod1 over the next 3 months. It was decided to stagger the re-branding changes to the site so as to have as little negative impact as possible on the online marketing and the SEO in particular.

After spending the last 2 to 3 years building the Paramount brand online and establishing extremely good search engine rankings across the board, it is imperative that all this benefit is maintained and transferred to the new site.

The re-branded site will replace www.paramount-hotels.co.uk with www.barcelo-hotels.co.uk.

Kurt Geiger Steps Up

Pod1’s brief was to take the Kurt Geiger website, www.kurtgeiger.com, to the next level in terms of retailing the best of Kurt Geiger own brands and designer brands for men and women, such as Agent Provocateur, Chloe, Paul Smith and Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Pod1 has created a site to reflect Kurt Geiger’s luxury multi-branded offer with multiple features that aim to make the customer journey a pleasurable one. These features include an option to magnify the products to get a more detailed view and a time-saving mechanism that allows visitors to filter by size, style, brand, occasion and colour.

In their objectives the agency aims to maintain synergy between existing stores and the online environment as well as developing a look and feel that confirms that it is the place to be for the latest designer shoe trends.

Pod1’s co-founder, Fadi Shuman said: "Our ultimate goal when designing the site was to create a retail environment that reflects the brand character of Kurt Geiger, while developing brand loyalty by providing the customer with an easy and enjoyable way to purchase leading designer shoe brands online."

"This is the first phase of the online plans for the site"; Head of e-commerce at Kurt Geiger, Tom Lodge commented. "2008 will see us extending our brand offer as well as our reach into new international markets. We see this re-design as just the beginning."

Reiss’s New Online Store Exceeds all Expectations

Founder and managing director of the Reiss fashion chain, David Reiss, has recently told Drapers Magazine that the new Reiss website is already taking more money than the business’s best performing store, a position he did not expect it to reach until after 12 months. He followed by saying, “It’s early days, but the reaction to our online offer has been phenomenal. Sales have been consistently at least 300% ahead of target.” This is all the more impressive when you consider the site has only been online for a mere 6 weeks.

Pod1 was given the brief to design and build a transactional website for the Reiss fashion chain. It was important to keep the new website in line with the Reiss stores and with their off-line advertising. This was achieved with the use of clean design with a subtle colour palate coupled with a site that is simple to use and easy to navigate.

The Reiss fashion chain, fits perfectly between the high street and the top end designer collections. This makes it unique in the UK being that it is the only clothing chain to sell their own brand high quality fashion Menswear and Womenswear.

AT&T Campaign went to XXX – and all i got was this lousy T-Shirt…

http://www.attwheredoyoulive.com/

A campaign which encourages people to make up slogans and buy merchandise of the back of it.

Quirky idea and  a brilliant way to get users playing with a brand.
