Pod1 Create New Magento Ecommerce Website for Anna Scholz

Pod1 has recently launched a 2nd generation eCommerce website for plus size fashion designer Anna Scholz. The website is based on the innovative Magento eCommerce platform, making this Pod1’s 3rd magento solution after Kirna Zabete (NYC) & MYLA (London & NYC).

Anna Scholz sells to over 50 stores in more than 10 countries  worldwide, and has drawn attention from celebrities such as Dawn French, Roseanne Barr, and Alison Moyet. The designer, who specialises in cutting-edge designs for women of all sizes, tasked the agency to build a site that reflects its feminine and glamorous image. Pod1 will work alongside Scholz’s team to develop the ecommerce website, which is set to ensure the brand’s online position ahead of its competitors in the retail market space.

The site will include the designer’s full collection to view and purchase online. Site visitors will be able to browse the most current collections by category, e.g. skirts, dresses, accessories etc. and will be able to gain a good feel for the garments through a superior selection of images for each piece, using a zoom functionality. To ensure the success of this function, Pod1 will work closely with Alfred Bailey, the photographer responsible for Scholz’s striking photo shoots. Videos of latest shoots will also be available, as will the full back catalogue of previous collections.

Together with the ecommerce utility, the purpose of the site is to create a space to demonstrate Scholz’s character and expertise as a designer. A ‘magazine’ editorial page, with Scholz as the editor, will be updated on a seasonal basis and will include fashion favourites of the team along with style hints and tips for customers.

Founder of Pod1, Fadi Shuman commented: “Anna Scholz designs are for women who prefer more stylish and sophisticated clothing  than is usually offered in a larger range of sizes. The site we have built is aimed at bringing this knowledge to a wider audience and generating excitement about the brand. We’ve maintained a close dialogue with Anna’s creative team in order to create a unique and vibrant site that will have a great ‘designer’ look, but without sacrificing any of the functionality of the ecommerce platform. We’re confident that this will establish the designer’s online presence and give Anna the exposure she deserves across the web.”

We’ve Been Busy!

Now that the dust has settled, I’m happy to announce that last week, Pod1 London launched 3 hot new E-Commerce websites!

So in order of appearance…(drum roll please):

Jigsaw saw it’s first E-Commerce presence go live in both the UK & the USA almost simultaneously. Great photography, super easy to use, fantastic products. Take a look here: www.jigsaw-online.com

Second up was a site for start-up business Murmur Art. The site is a showcase for talented artists allowing registered users to upload their work and sell directly from the website. Take a look here: www.murmurart.com

And last but by no means least, and with a super fast turnaround, the all new MYLA website went live. A fantastic brand and an awesome client made this site a real pleasure to work on. So if you fancied treating yourself (or your lady), visit www.myla.com.

Phew!
