Pod1 launches ecommerce site for Maje

The Maje e-boutique was launched as part of the bigger launch strategy for the brand as it enters the US market and opens a number of stores on the east coast of America, and ultimately nationwide.

Maje is the success story of a “fashion child”, Judith Milgrom, who was introduced to the art of crafting garments at a very early age. Judith created the name “Maje” as a combination of the initials of the names of her loved ones.

The site focuses on the simplicity of the brand, allowing the design of the products to speak for themselves.

As well as the shopping pages, the site features a store locator, look book, press section and news area.

The techie bit: The site was developed on the Magento Enterprise platform for e-commerce functionality, and WordPress to manage editorial. Pod1 also hosts the site on it’s ecommerce optimized, cloud-based infrastructure.

Happy customers…makes it all worthwhile

We came across this Facebook post from one of our clients CAbi, that we had recently created a new site for, as well as a cool ‘Outfit Builder’ app.

…and it goes on. Great to hear from the site’s users for a change!

Movember – It’s here!

It’s that time of the year again, when men put their faces on the line to raise awareness of how cold not having a beard is at this time of year.

Myself and Mr Chris Pendse are flying the Pod1 London Movember flag this year and have shaved off our usual facial adornments to raise money and awareness for some very good causes

We’ll be posting regular updates on how our moustaches are growing, if anyone has any requests, let us know. Not that we can promise an exact replica of your chosen style.

To donate generously to our cause, please go here

Thank you!

New site for CAbi

After 25 years of selling her designer collections in Nordstrom and other upscale department stores and specialty boutiques across the country, Carol Anderson decided to bring her expertly designed clothing directly to the customer in the form of the ultimate personal shopping experience!

Pod1 NY worked closely with the client over a 10 week period to deliver a fresh new site that was in-line with their more mature customer base.

The site was built with simplicity in mind providing the end-user with a stress-free user experience.

The site’s objective was not only to showcase the fashion, but also provide the brand with a voice.

Pod1 also implemented it’s first iteration of the hugely popular, and effective Outfit Builder for this launch.

UPDATE: And the people have spoken..take a look at the customer feedback on Facebook.

New UX and creative for George at ASDA

We’re happy to announce that our work for Asda’s fashion brand George is now live on the world-wide-interweb!

Pod1 was tasked with overhauling the entire user experience for this hugely popular brand.

The George label provides cost effective fashion across all categories, from Women to School and Babies.

Custom pages were also created to allow for style tips and bespoke content.

Pod1’s clean approach was implemented across the site to ensure a simple user experience.

Large drop down navigation also cut clicks for faster access to content, and allowed for inline promotions.

The site was developed on the Demandware platform.
