I’m very please to announce that the newly redesigned Web Blinds e-commerce site is live!

Web Blinds is Hillary’s Blinds online only offering where customers can purchase the same high quality made-to-measure products offered by Hillary’s Blinds without the in-home service.

The new site has some pretty nice features, here are some highlights…

1. Enhanced content and features to guide and assist customers. This includes informative videos on how to measure and install, inspirational galleries for product ideas, interactive modules to show customers what can be customised on products and downloadable guides and worksheets.

2. Smart merchandising of products in hero images using 10CMS technology

3.  A “blind builder” that updates the product image as the customer steps through the product customisation process

4. The ability to print your own blind designs…checkout the new blinds we are getting for our office (P.S. That’s me)

The site is built on Magento Enterprise and was designed and developed in collaboration with Varien.

It has been a really interesting project. Given the nature of the product (there really aren’t physical products, just materials that customers can combine in 1000’s of ways to make a product) it has required a lot more in depth analysis and a customised Magento product catalogue implementation.

The creative team have also done a great job with the re-branding effort, giving the site a fresh and modern look

Well done to everyone involved, I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs and more so the future evolution of the site.
